These clients took advantage of numerous Clallam PUD incentives that helped them decide to generate their own electricity using abundant and free solar energy. They are engaged in a net-metering contract which allows them to sell excess solar power for the same price that they are charged; they received an $1800 rebate ($450 per KW of PV); and they financed the project with a special low-interest loan from First Federal Bank available to Clallam PUD rate-payers.

The home has an excellent unimpeded southern exposure (and view of Hurricane Ridge) to the south. The Snap-Loc metal roofing allowed Power Trip Energy to use some hardware we’ve seen for mounting heavy objects to standing metal seams without penetrations - very clean!
